The view at the end of my street this afternoon, a less than a minute walk.

Home in Zaandam, work in Amsterdam. So most of my photos this month will be made in one of the two cities. And most of the time there’s a train going between the two (but I’m normally using my bike).

Jun 01 – My garden

Very lazy today. Just sitting in my (small) garden in the late afternoon sun with a glass of wine and a camera.

A quick photo around midday. The sun was just shining on the white flower.

Some “weed” near my pond.

Think it’s a thistle, don’t know which variant. Made on a rainy short walk.

White flowers and a white background.

May 24 – Bellis perennis

We call them “madeliefjes”. Everywhere in the grass at the moment.

May 23 – Yellow

Some yellow flowers with as background a B&W photo I just printed. Bad experience after this photo. Tripod fall down. Camera still working!! Remote transmission for flash light missing some parts, but (with help of some tape) still working.

May 22 – Chestnut

Flowers are almost gone, but the chestnuts are coming.

May 21 – Chives

Just a quick shot while making dinner. Used a flash here.

Picked a flower from my hedge for today.

Couldn’t find an English name for this one. We call it “duinviooltje”, literally translated “dune violet”. Grows in the dunes near the sea. They looked so lovely with the dew in the early morning sunlight.

May 15 – Teardrop

Made a lot a photos of this (unknown) flower lately, but there was always another one I preferred. All my photos today aren’t as sharp as I would like, but I liked the raindrops here.

May 14 – Wild flower

Needed some fresh air. Found this beauty. No idea what it is, but I like it. Added: Seems to be a “Silene vulgaris”

A “forget-me-not” with as background my new (used) car I picked up today. Could use some more polish

Found a hedge with this beautiful blue flowers (and some bees). Very cropped and a full midday sun

Just picked a branch from my garden, washed it and made a photo of it. No idea about the species.

The “Motherdays” flowers I bought for my wife. She loves them. Hope I can make another one this month when they are really beautiful.
